While biking in Key West yesterday, I saw a guy I know strolling down the sidewalk, dutifully walking his dog in the left hand, and gleefully holding green, glittery wings in his right hand. Key West Pride kicks off next week, and I can’t wait to catch sight of those wings amidst all the color and circumstance.
Meanwhile, everyone at Pearl’s is busy with preparations for the Pearl’s Pride Party, Divas, Drag & Dancing, on Friday night, June 10th, 8-11 PM.
All are welcome to join the fun, and admission is only $10.
One of our favorite funny ladies, and award-winning comedienne Christine O’Leary (pictured left), returns to Pearl’s to make you “laugh til you tinkle.”
Then Dujour Unlimited (Tatah DuJour pictured right) takes the stage with drag king performances not soon to be forgotten.
And when the stage is empty, count on DJ Rae Rae to keep the party hopping.
You can even get your own poolside table seating for the evening for $20 admission.
Do you want to be part of the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 12th at 5pm? Pearl’s is sponsoring Dykes on Bikes. Bicycles, tricycles, motorcycles, all welcome. Contact Pearl’s Rainbow at 305-292-1450 to sign up and get your Dykes on Bikes t-shirt.
The excitement begins. See you in paradise soon!

The featured artists (and some Pearl’s Girls BTW) will be showing off their painting, photography and pen & ink artwork. Be sure to bring your pocketbook, because it all will be for sale.
First and foremost, it’s the Easter holiday weekend.
January is one of my favorite months in Key West. This weekend alone, there are so many events, one could never attend them all. Sculpture Key West debuts their months-long display of interesting sculpture around Key West. And the Seafood Festival entices visitors with local flavors Saturday in Bayview Park.
